“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
- Matthew 19:14
Our Curriculum
The nursery school classrooms provide a loving and nurturing environment, allowing infants and toddlers to meet developmental milestones through social interactions and purposeful activities. These classrooms implement a flexible routine with age- appropriate schedules that include time spent in centers (art/sensory, dramatic play, literacy, music, movement, and puzzles/games).
Classrooms also incorporate Bible teaching, read-alouds, gross motor activities, crafts, outside time, and playground visits. Beginning language and literacy skills are an essential part of instruction. Communication with parents includes daily reports of information regarding schedules, diapering, meals, napping, behavior, etc.
Nursery - Infants & Toddlers
Preschool classrooms provide a loving and nurturing environment, allowing preschoolers to meet developmental milestones through endless learning opportunities. These classrooms focus on foundational learning and kindergarten readiness through play-based learning, guided explorations, and both large-group and small-group instruction. Daily routine, content studies, and investigative learning experiences enhance cognitive growth while building a love for learning.
The preschool curriculum focuses on literacy and language, math and logic, science and discovery, social/emotional development, fine motor and gross motor skills, and biblical instruction. The preschool schedule allows for circle time, structured play, center exploration, arts integration, and student-driven and teacher-led instruction, with all learning and activities filtered through thematic units. Related arts (art, chapel, music, and physical education) allow for developmental skills to be mastered. Instruction is literacy-rich, brain-based, and covers the foundational elements of language, which are phonology, sound-symbol association, syllable instruction, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Biblical truths and teachings are incorporated into all parts of the day and connected to content-area studies.
